PINDARI GLACIER TREK
Pindari Glacier Trek is a 13 Days trek in Kumaun region of Uttarakhand , Pindari Glacier is located in Himalayas in Kumaun region at southeast of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Pindari Glacier flows to south to south side for about three kms & Pindari River takes birth , Later Pindari river merges in to Alaknanda river at Karna Prayag.
Trek to Pindari Galcier starts from Bageshwar where trekkers reach and get assembled , Trekkers depart by road to Saung Trekking tour is completed via Saung, Loharkhet , Dhakuri Pass and Pindari Glacier Trek corsses Khati Village which is last inhabitate village in that region , Trek goes through Dwali , Phurkia and finally reaches Zero point at Pindar which is end point of trail, Most part of Pindari Glacier trek runs near Pindari river , Most part of Pindari river is hidden and and visible after Khati Pindari Galcier Trek is well known trek in urban city life and many people have already done it and many wants to do.Hamara Holiday organises Pindari Galcier Trek Packages as G.S.A of KMVN and all arrangments are done in advance and trekkers have to do trekking only , rest all things are managed by Garhwal Himalaya/ KMVN.
Pindari Galcier is located on edge of Nanda Devi Peak , Nanda Devi is world famous Himalayan peak and has height of 7816 Mtrs/ 25637 Feet ASL As mentioned earlier Trekkers start trip from Bageshwar by road till song or Loharkhet depending on road conditions, Pindari Glacier is situated in Bageshwar district in the upper part of Kumaon Himalaya Nanda Devi is in Southeast part. It is one of the most famous place for trekkers since last century, the Uttranchal offers rugged beauty with unimaginable sights for trekkers who love nature. The Glacier is 5km. long the snout is about 6 meter high & 3 Meter wide The valley is drained by the Pindar river which later merged with River Alaknanda in Karnaprayag the way to Pindari Glacier passes through villages of Saung & Lohar leading to Dhakuri pass.
The traditional remote villages gives special view to visitors at the end the Pindari Glacier itself enriched with scenic beauty of magnificient Himalayas. The color of Pindari Glacier is white at some places blue & brown spots can be seen. To reach Pindari Glacier visitors have to go by road up to Saung which is accessible from Almora, Bageshwar, Kathgodam & thereafter trej of 46Km. up to Pindari Glacier.
Day 01: Arrive Delhi:
On arrival met and transfer to the hotel. Overnight Hotel.
Day 02: Delhi to Almora:
Early in the morning drive to Almora via Kathgodam. Arrival at Almora by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Almora to Loharkhet to Dhakuri:
Mornings after breakfast drive to Loharkhet and from here we will start our trek up to Dhakuri. It is an 11 km trek today that takes you down into the depths of the valley and then a fair climb to Dhakuri. Dinner and overnight stay in tents/rest house.
Day 04: Dhakuri to Khati:
This is an 8 km trek; Khati is the largest village on this route and is on the banks of the Pinder Ganga.The people here are extremely hospitable and legend has it that they are the descendents of the race who provided shelter to the Pandavas during their exile. Dinner and overnight stay in Tents/Village huts.
Day 05: Khati to Dwali:
The trekking distance today is 11 km (5-6 hrs) with the roar of the Pinder Ganga not too far off. Along the way there are many a waterfalls and log bridges to be crossed. Dinner and overnight stay in tents/rest house.
Day 06: Dwali to Phurkia:
Today after Sewa we continue trek to Jiskon. The trail and surroundings is extremely picturesque. Overnight Tent.
Day 07: Phurkia to Pindari Glacier:
Today is an early start as it is a 7 km trek each way. Touch zero point from where the Pindari glacier can be viewed in all its magnificence. The Pinder valley is also prominent with its patches of lush greenery over the stark white landscape. Return to Phurkia. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day 8: Phurkia to Dwali:
Its time to go back and the 5 km trek will take about 3 hrs. Dinner and overnight stay in tents/rest house.
Day 9: Dwali to Khati:
Today's 11 km trek will take 4-5 hrs. Exploring Khati is a good idea as it has some beautiful sights to offer. Dinner and overnight stay in tents/rest house.
Day 10: Khati to Dhakuri:
In the morning after breakfast trek down to Dhakuri. The trek is 8 kms and it will take 3-4 hrs. Dinner and overnight stay in tents/rest house.
Day 11: Dhakuri to Loharkhet to Song to Bageshwar:
Trek all the way to song today 13 km, 5-6 hrs and drive back to Bageshwar. Overnight at Resthouse. The trek has come to an end. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Bageshwar to Naini Tal to Delhi:
In the morning drive to Delhi via Kathgodam.Trip End.
